Hello! I’m Kasey from @kasey_studies and my followers and friends would say that I spend 90% of my digital study time on my iPad. I even wrote a big portion of my thesis, took majority of my notes, and crammed for big exams on this rectangular device that has changed my life since I got it. This said, compatibility for iPad users is something that is very important for me in an app. 💯

As mentioned in the previous blog post, flashcards are the most efficient way of studying… and this is backed by years and years of scientific research! When I got introduced to Voovo, I was blown away by how beautifully compatible it is with my iPad. It feels like it was specifically designed for me, an iPad user! Finally, I can fully harness the power of flashcards! 📚

The most IMPORTANT feature in Voovo

is the fact that you can use it split screen with your other study or note-taking apps! 🤓

I spend a lot of my time on GoodNotes and Notability, where I take a lot of notes and also annotate my way through PDFs of textbooks and PowerPoint slides 📖 A lot of flashcard apps don’t allow you to put them in split screen with the notes that you are making the flashcards from, and this is super inconvenient. I personally really dislike having to switch between a flashcard app and note app, it is super time consuming and also breaks the flow of a good study session.

Voovo’s creator (who is also a university student!) knew of this problem, and solved it for me and many other students! Below, you can see an image of one of my many coffeeshop study sesh with Voovo — in split screen with one of my favorite note taking apps, GoodNotes. So convenient! 😍 I can have a flashcard study sesh while looking at my notes for further information.

Diagrams, diagrams, diagrams… as a medical student, I feel like we spend more than half of our time staring at diagrams hoping that they will magically stick in our heads. (And we spend the other half of the time, having a mental breakdown!) 🤓📖

Prior to Voovo, I’d want to make flashcards out of the diagrams but it would take way too much time to upload the pictures many many times with a different word blocked out. Voovo has this amazing feature where you can upload the diagram ONCE to the app, and then it will automatically find the texts on the diagrams! After this, you can pick which words or phrases you want to memorize and then up to hundreds of flashcards (literally! Depending on how many texts you want to memorize) will be automatically generated in under a minute. 🔥

2. Drag and Drop feature 💥

Diagram/tables to memorize & split screen with Voovo & drag and drop = super easy flashcard making process! No more time wasted on saving pictures from an app and then uploading it into another. 💪

Picture flashcards are an essential for a medical student, especially one studying anatomy or physiology. But it is often quite a hassle to make them! A dream come true is the feature “drag and drop” on Voovo, you can drag a picture from another app and drop it into the Voovo app (that you’ll have opened in split screen!). No more of the hassle of saving a picture, opening the app, and uploading the picture. Voovo is all about making your study process as fast and seamless as possible, and this feature definitely contributes a lot to this goal. 🎉🥳
