Psych Explained & Voovo

Psychology,
made clear

Whiteboard lessons, followed by interactive exercises and questions. Boosted by smart practice, so you remember everything. Scheduled around your exam date. Pick the course you need.

How it works

Learn it, practice it, remember it

The lessons explain the material. The questions check whether you actually understand it. The app brings the topics back before you would forget them, and answers you when you get stuck.

01Lessons

Every topic, explained

The course is split into topics and lessons. Each one explains the concept before it asks you anything, so you are not tested on something nobody taught you.

  • Topic by topic

02Practice

Questions, not more reading

Put the steps of a process in order. Match the term to what it does. Fill in the blank. You find out what you know by answering, which is also how the exam will ask.

  • Interactive questions
  • You see where you stand

03Repetition

The old topics come back

What you got wrong returns in a few days, what you know returns much later. So you still remember what you learned in week 3 by the time you reach week 12, and you are not relearning the whole course the night before.

  • Nothing quietly fades

04Help

Ask when you're stuck

Ask about anything in the course and you get an answer from the course material itself, along with the lesson it came from. No weak sources, no hallucinations

Practice

The best way to learn

Ordering, matching, fill the blank, multiple choice, flashcards — the same idea comes back from more than one angle, so you don't just memorise the answers

Planning

Create your study plan

Put in the date of your exam and the course spreads itself across the weeks you have, instead of leaving all of it to the end.

  • Choosing how much of the course to include
    1

    Set the depth

Pick how much of the course goes into the plan — all of it, or just the parts your class actually covers.

  • Setting the start date and the exam date
    2

    Set the date

Say when the exam is. The sessions spread across the time you have left, instead of piling up at the end.

  • A day's plan: new material and review
    3

    Your plan is ready

Each day you get a mix of new material and review, sized to what's left before the date.

Questions

What is this exactly?

A course inside the Voovo app. Dr. Kushner's lessons and the questions that go with them, in the order your class teaches the material. You study on your phone.

Which course should I pick?

The one you're enrolled in. Psych 101 covers an intro psychology course, AP Psychology follows the College Board's 2024 framework, and the Neuroscience page is for Intro to Neuroscience or Brain & Behavior — two separate courses, you take the one you're in.

Isn't a lot of this free on YouTube?

Yes. His channel has 162 free lessons and they're good. What the free version doesn't do is give you the material in an order, ask you questions, or bring a topic back three weeks later when you're about to forget it.
