Ace your
anatomy exam

My anatomy tutorials as a course in the Voovo app: lessons and practice questions on every region, and a study plan to your exam date. For medical, physio and nursing students.

Go beyond the videos

More than the videos

My videos explain each region. In the app you practise it with questions, find out what you can't name yet, and follow a plan until your exam.

The Anatomy of the Human Body course overview on a laptop and a sorting exercise on a phone
  • On your phone and laptop

Practise on your phone between lectures, revise on your laptop. Your progress is the same on both.

  • Region by region

Each of my 13 regions is its own topic, split into short lessons, so you always know which part you're on.

  • Questions that make you name it

You label, match, order and sort the structures in each region, and every answer is explained.

  • See where you stand

Each region shows what you can name and what still needs work, so you know where to spend your time.

How it works

How the course works

For each region, you learn it from my tutorial, answer questions on it, review it before you forget it, and ask when you're stuck.

01Watch

Learn it from my tutorials

Start with my tutorials and explanations in the app. The course is built from them, region by region, so the questions ask for the same names, borders and contents I teach.

  • 13 regions

02Practise

Answer questions on it

Labelling, matching, ordering, sorting, fill in the blank and multiple choice. You find out what you can name by answering, and every answer is explained.

03Repeat

Review before you forget

What you get wrong comes up again within a few days. What you know comes up later, so the regions you learned first are still fresh on exam day.

About me

One region at a time

I'm Dr Conor Boylan, a UK-based doctor and surgical trainee with a BSc in human anatomy. When you're a clinician, you'll look rather silly if you mix up your mammary gland with your iliotibial band, or your axilla with your maxilla.

On More Than Skin Deep I draw most of the diagrams myself and take one region at a time: its borders and contents, a patient case, and a mnemonic, sometimes a little rude, because that tends to make it stick.

The course takes the same regions and turns them into questions, so you practise naming each structure instead of only watching me draw it.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Who is it for?

Anyone learning human anatomy at university: medicine, physiotherapy, nursing and other health courses. It follows my 13 regions, so check the list against your module and start with the regions you're being taught.

Is this the same as your YouTube videos?

Everything I explain in my videos is in the course, in order from the basics to the limbs. On top of that you get questions on every region and a plan to your exam date.

Who writes the questions?

Voovo's team writes them from my tutorials. Experts review the questions before they go into the course.

Is it anatomy and physiology?

It's anatomy. Physiology only comes in where it explains a structure, so keep your physiology resources for that module.

When does the course open, and what does it cost?

You'll get an email the day it opens, with your 10% off. The price is set when it opens.

Can I use it on my laptop?

Yes. The app runs on your phone and on the web, with the same progress on both.
